How This System Works

This system targets NHL underdogs whose shot differential over their last 5 games averages greater than -2.5, facing opponents whose last 5 games show a standard deviation in shots allowed above 6.0032. It identifies situations where the underdog team has maintained relatively even shot metrics recently while the opponent has been inconsistent in how many shots they allow from game to game.

Backs underdogs maintaining competitive shot differential (better than -2.5 over last 5 games) against opponents showing high defensive inconsistency (shots against standard deviation exceeding 6.0).
