Weak Goaltending vs Struggling Defenses
How This System Works
The first condition requires the goaltender's average even-strength saves over the last 10 games to be 1.1457 or lower. The second condition requires the standard deviation of goals allowed by the defense over the last 5 games to exceed 1.9494, indicating variable defensive performance. The third condition requires the standard deviation of points recorded by the offense over the last 5 games to be 3.3615 or lower, indicating consistent offensive output. These conditions together identify games where the goaltender has recorded very few even-strength saves recently, the defense has allowed goals inconsistently, and the offense has produced points consistently.
Targets games where recent even-strength goalie performance is poor, the defensive team has allowed goals at a high rate, and the offensive team has shown limited point production over recent games.
