How This System Works

The system identifies games where the assigned referee crew averages more than 5.4638 total goals per game, the defensive team has allowed more than 1.6432 goals against per game over their last 5 games, and the offensive team has averaged 1.8708 or fewer points per game over their last 5 games. These conditions isolate matchups with referees whose games produce higher goal totals, a defense allowing above-average goals recently, and an offense with limited recent point production.

Targets games officiated by referees who average high totals (above 5.46), where the defensive team shows high volatility in goals allowed over their last 5 games (standard deviation above 1.64), and the offensive team has been consistent in recent point production (standard deviation at or below 1.87).
