How This System Works

This system checks four conditions: the team's Elo rating is 51.215 or lower, the opponent averaged 116.45 points or fewer over their last 5 games, the opponent's standard deviation of average blocks over their last 5 games is 1.3812 or lower, and the team's maximum average defensive rebounds over their last 5 games is 6.3 or lower. These conditions together identify games where a team with a low Elo rating faces an opponent that scores at a moderate level with consistent blocking metrics, while the team itself shows limited peak defensive rebounding performance in recent games.

Targets teams with near-even Elo ratings facing opponents with recent low scoring output and consistent defensive rebounding and shot-blocking metrics.
