Efficient Offense vs Capped Defense with Low Variance
How This System Works
This system checks four conditions: the team's average field goal percentage over their last 10 games is 46.375% or lower, the opponent's average points scored over their last 5 games is 116.45 or fewer, the opponent's standard deviation of blocks over their last 5 games using a 48-game rolling average is 1.3775 or lower, and the team's standard deviation of defensive rebounds over their last 5 games is 1.908 or lower. These conditions together identify games where the team has been shooting poorly from the field, facing an opponent that has scored 116.45 points or fewer per game recently with consistent shot-blocking, while the team itself has been consistent in defensive rebounding.
Targets teams with efficient field goal shooting against opponents scoring 116 points or fewer, emphasizing defensive consistency in blocks and rebounds with minimal variance.
