How This System Works

This system applies to games where the team has averaged a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 4.535 or lower over their last 10 games, the team's moneyline odds are -237.5 or steeper, and the team is favored on the spread (0.0 indicates they are giving runs rather than receiving them). These conditions identify games involving a heavy moneyline favorite with a relatively low recent strikeout-to-walk ratio taking the favored side of the spread.

Backs heavy favorites (moneyline -237.5 or stronger) when the starting pitcher shows strong command with a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 4.535 or lower over their last 10 pitches on average.
