How This System Works

The conditions check whether the team's batters have averaged a ground ball to fly ball ratio of 0.895 or lower over their last 10 games, an on-base percentage of 0.2766 or lower over their last 10 games, and more than 14.1 fly balls per game over their last 5 games. These metrics together identify a game situation where the team's batters have been hitting more fly balls relative to ground balls while recording a low on-base percentage in recent games.

Targets teams with low ground-to-fly ratios, weak on-base percentages over their last 10 games, and elevated fly ball rates in their most recent 5 games.
